Glénat publications donates Dutch-language manga to lending library

Glénat Benelux publications has sent the manga library a copy of every Dutch-language manga in their catalog, and promises to donate a copy of every new manga volume they publish. Since Glénat's catalog includes 'One Piece', 'Say hello to Black Jack', 'Dragon Ball', '20th Century Boys' and many other great titles, we're very excited about this boost to the library and to the Japanese Studies section at the Catholic University of Leuven. Enjoy!

Manga lending library opens!

There's been a lot of interesting noise about disclosing the contents of closed research collections at the Faculty of Arts lately, so we're quite pleased to be setting a good example: Let's Manga's collection of manga and books on Japanese popular culture is now an open lending library. Enjoy.

Manga terminology

Waran Jiten, the online Japanese-Dutch/Dutch-Japanese dictionary maintained by the Catholic University of Leuven's Japanese Studies department, is both a regular and a contextual dictionary. Its wiki format makes it easy to organize pages for separate words into contextual vocabulary lists. Let's Manga oversees the compiling of vocabulary list for topics relating to Japanese popular culture -everything ranging from manga and anime to television, film and fan culture. The lists are of course in Dutch.
